Cardiac Imaging

Cardiac imaging is the non-invasive imaging of the heart using various radiology techniques such as ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and nuclear medicine imaging with PET or SPECT.

Our radiologists specialize in diagnosing and treating heart issues using these imaging techniques. In our practice, cardiac imaging subspecialists merge views of the heart from distinct studies, providing more precise information and accurate diagnoses.

Given that heart disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S., using imaging for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment is a top priority. Patients often seek this subspecialty for unexplained chest pain or angina during exercise. Cardiac imaging also aids in assessing damage from a heart attack, and over time, a series of images can track treatment results or disease progression.
